NewStages returns in 2012 with a packed all day festival of new and exciting creative work from the School of Performance and Cultural Industries (PCI). This year’s line-up combines ambitious new writing and performance work by the postgraduates of PCI, with unique performances by professional and emerging artists connected to the school.
This year promises to be even more exciting than last and offers a great opportunity to see the future of contemporary performance practice, first hand. New Stages is back for an even more ambitious programme of new work, activities, workshops and keynote speeches from leading cultural industries experts.
This year we have collaborated with two other schools in the Faculty: Fine Art and Music and the programme reflects this interdisciplinarity with joint projects in dance and sonic art and new writing, painting and sculpture. New Stages will act as a platform for new performance, new writing and new thinking in the Cultural Industries, combining workshops, performances and distinguished external speakers in a packed two-day programme.
